US customers: Shipping is included in all pricing except 24x36 and 19x68 inch gallery-wrapped (on wood frame) prints, which must be picked up in Williamsburg, Virginia or Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
If you live outside the US, shipping will be provided before purchasing.
Meet Donn
Star Images was founded by Donn Starkey in 2012. Donn got his interest in photography at the age of 5, while “helping” his father develop pictures in a darkened corner of the family utility room. Back then, the photographic technology of the day was wet chemistry, contact printing and enlarging. These were the only tools available to the amateur photographer. Donn kept his interest in photography throughout his adult life. He was always on the lookout for the image that would tell a story. That is the fundamental nature of Fine Art Photography.
When the digital revolution hit photography, it was like a whole new world had opened up. No more smelly chemical bathes or expensive photo paper or celluloid film. Now, the image is a collection of electrons on a silicone chip. The images are manipulated on a computer program and printed onto a vast variety of papers using a device that squirts the ink onto the document. How photographic technology has changed! But the basic reason for Fine Art Photography has not changed. The image tells a story.
Donn has developed an eye for looking at the world through the lens; in search of a story to tell. The vast majority of the images you will find on this sight are Still Life’s and Nature Photography, with the occasional Portraiture. Every image tells a story.
